The email newsletter is for people interested in the project. The behind-the-scenes. People who want to know ahead of time when there’s something new on the horizon, when there’s an incentive to be first in line.

I publish about once a week. Also, I think emailing people who aren’t interested is neither useful or ethical, so opt in if you’re curious and opt back out if it wasn’t what you were looking for.

The Substack is strictly content. It’s mostly a Q&A format, with people writing in with questions about how to handle difficult situations, usually but not always related to cancer. “How can I handle this?” “What did I do wrong?” “Is it OK for me to say this?”

Substack offers creators the option to have paid subscriptions, and I do. Everything that I publish is available to all subscribers, and after a couple of weeks, it’s behind the paywall. Unless you want to read the archives or just want to support my work, everything I write is free.
